Bursts of Bloom

Our creek plum has burst into bloom thanks to the last three weeks of sunshine and heat.  WOW!  That is one side of the story.  The other side is that many other trees, such as the wicked juniper, are dispensing tons of pollen.  I'm the one with allergies, so it has been a blessing and a curse to see the blossoms.

  2. Hi Becky! I had to laugh when you referred to the "crick" in your comment. that's what we used to call it too, and then I grew up and realized it was a mispronunciation. but who cares? we had the dang crick and it was a spot where I played most frequently as a child. thanks for visiting my blog, and I hope your allergies don't get the better of you. what joy to have a flowering plum!

  3. 1000s of blooms!!

The plums produce fruit. The wild ones are yellow or light red. The Santa Rosa is the one we use for liqueur, jam, or desserts.

  4. Buds here too. I hope the rain and wind do not push them to the ground! We have this peach tree that is suppose to be full of peaches, but have not seen any in two years. This time I think we will, because I studied up on peach trees pampering it. I should of came right to you my friend...
